'Gwaryjy' is Cornish for 'theatre' and this project has come about as a direct result of the Covid 19 pandemic and will based in Truro, Cornwall. They have created a round stage, surrounded by individual pods for audience members. Each pod will be able to accommodate a maximum of 4 people from the same household or safety bubble in accordance with Covid-19 restrictions and Public Health England Government guidance... enabling audiences and performers to feel more confident about enjoying live entertainment again. One of the beautiful things about going to see a live event is the community, the shared experience, we hope that this theatre will give that sense of a shared experience but at the same time making you feel completely safe.
2020 has been a bitter, bitter pill to swallow! But at least even something (in the grand scheme of things) as minimal as being recognised by the critics - adds a little 'sugar' to help it go down easier!
"...seeing these two giants of the Westcountry music scene on stage surrounded by lamps, crocheted items and a range of guitars was as intimate and beautiful as you could hope for a gig to be. Add an appreciative and attentive audience and you have the recipe for a night to remember. "

"Local festival legend and fan's favourite, Andy Quick, never seems more at home than when he is on a stage. A big positive blue sky kind of guy, his anthemic songwriting is a defining part of so many people's summer. I talked to him about how the lockdown and the pandemic's lack of live gigs have affected him. " - Greenbeanz Photography
